The Backstory
This image feels like a wonderful, abstract companion to the famous image of men sitting on a beam high above New York City called, “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.” That image is often misattributed to Lewis Hine and sometimes credited to Charles C. Ebbets. Just like that image, the actual photographer of this image has been lost to time.

Artist’s Commentary
I acquired this image from a collector who had a box of unlabeled home photos. The moment I saw it, I had to have it. The photo has a wonderful mix of geometry and organic movement.
