Silver Lake 1915
Silver Lake 1915
The Backstory
In the early 1900s Silver Lake Park in Ohio, the “Coney Island of the West,” was constantly expanding and adding new attractions. In 1905, the lake level was dropped so a small island could be created in the middle of the lake.
George Lodge, the son of the amusement park's founder, was wading in the mud around the exposed shoreline when he stumbled upon an odd object.
That object leads to an incredible treasure story.

Artist’s Commentary
I was thrilled to find this original poster for the Silver Lake, Ohio Amusement Park. I looked for one for years and could never find one. The condition is absolutely remarkable. I hate to part with it but the story is too good not to share.
