Jimmie Lynch got into the Army during WWI by lying about his age and almost got killed.  He spent the next several decades thrilling audiences around the country – and almost getting killed. His career, however, can be traced to an automobile pioneer who got behind the wheel of a race car only one time. Only once.

Artist’s Commentary
I was immediately struck by the daring spectacle of this image, and the small note only added to the intrigue.  It said, “Minnesota 1938.”  That clue was enough to unlock a thrilling story.
